VENDOR RESOURCE GUIDE˚ 𝜗𝜚˚⋆ 。 ☆
03. Booth Setup
As a clothing vendor, make sure your garment racks and signage are placed in way that flows easily for customers. It is important to arrange the racks, tables, and signage to draw foot traffic into your booth and ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers. Make a clear path and that all of your racks are accessible for everyone. A good rule of thumb is to have at least 3 feet of walking space so multiple customers can browse and shop comfortably. Depending on the number of racks you have, you can arrange them into a "U-Shape" layout, which is having all of the racks on the left, right, and back side of your booth. Additionally, you can have a center display table for signage or other merchandise such as shoes or accessories. Finally, place full-length or tabletop mirrors in well-lit areas where shoppers can easily try on items.
As a crafts vendor, if you have a table, ensure your table setup is organized with merchandise, signage, and more. Adding a tablecloth will elevate your booth and make it cohesive with your branding.
Your booth setup is important, it is the first impression customers get of your brand and products. Your booth setup also needs to be functional. In section 05., we will get more in-depth regarding visual merchandising. In this section, we will discuss the overall booth layout.
Sightlines
When creating your booth layout, it is also important to consider sight lines. Sight lines is an important element of retail displays, it determines the visibility of everything in your booth, from merchandise to signage from a distance. For more information on how to best use sight lines depending on the type of booth you have (i.e. corner booth, middle booth, etc.), click on this guide to learn more here.

Safety
When setting up your booth, it is also important to factor in safety. If you are using a canopy, it is mandatory to use canopy weights on all legs to provide a safe shopping environment for both your customers and neighboring vendors. If you choose to use lighting or have loose cable cords, make sure all cords are secured and there are clear pathways to prevent tripping incidents.
Booth Storage
Use floorlength tablecloths or garment bags under tables or by where you sit for extra inventory, packaging supplies such as shopping bags, promotional items and personal belongings. It is best to keep this hidden to keep it clutter free so your booth looks more organized. You can also sit either in the back or front of the booth, pick an area where customers can come to you to check out without causing lines that may block other customers who are browsing.
