Safety Standards

  • Fire-Retardant Canopy Requirement: All vendor canopies must meet local fire codes. Look for a canopy tag stating compliance with CPAI-84 or NFPA 701 standards.

  • Mandatory Canopy Weights: To prevent wind hazards, a minimum of 20–25 lbs per leg (100 lbs total for a $10 \times 10$ canopy) is strictly required. Canopies without sufficient weights will not be allowed to open.

  • Clear Walkways & Aisle Safety: Keep all merchandise, displays, and storage boxes contained within your designated footprint to ensure accessible, hazard-free walkways for shoppers.

  • Cord & Cable Management: If using portable power stations or approved cords, ensure all cables are safely taped down or covered with rubber cord ramps to prevent tripping hazards.
